Progress is being made at the Somers Point Paddle Club!
The restaurant and bar now have their flat roof sheathing in place, and the
dormer roof rafters have been set on the main building — home to our
kitchen, offices, and restrooms. Each week, the property continues to take
on more of its final shape. Today marks an exciting milestone as the pools
and spas are being sprayed with gunite — an important step toward
creating the resort-style experience that will soon welcome members by
the water.

Meet our new food & beverage director, Aaron shea
We’re excited to introduce Aaron Shea, our new Food & Beverage Director for the Paddle Clubs.
Aaron has spent most of his life in hospitality — from training under talented chefs in Cape May and managing hotel restaurants, to overseeing a TPC-rated country club in Naples, Florida. He’s even worked behind the bar at a
craft cocktail lounge in Chicago, where he developed a deep appreciation for creativity and detail.
“To me, hospitality is an art,” he says, “and it’s one I’ve always been proud to be a part of.”
At the Somers Point Paddle Club, Aaron’s goal is to create an atmosphere that feels
elevated yet easygoing — a place where members can relax, connect, and celebrate life
by the water. He wants service to feel natural and sincere, with a menu that blends global
inspiration and familiar favorites for a balance of comfort and creativity. The vibe will flow
naturally from laid-back afternoons by the pool to lively, social evenings — making SPPC a
true second home for members. “It should feel casual enough for a weekday lunch but
refined enough for a special night out,” Aaron explains. “From the menu to the cocktails to the warmth of our team, members will notice the details right away. SPPC isn’t just another restaurant — it’s a one-of-a-kind place built around community, creativity, and genuine hospitality.”
Opening May 2026
We are excited to share that applications for our inaugural season are now open. The season will run from May through September, with the club open daily from 11 AM to 9 PM. To ensure an exclusive, resort style experience, memberships are limited.
