Another exciting week of progress! Bar appliances have officially been installed, bringing us one step closer to getting this space fully operational. Preparation for the main walkway to the club entrance has begun, alongside the start of landscaping, adding the first touches of greenery and helping shape the arrival experience for our members. We also received some exciting deliveries, including our lounge chaises, bar stools, and additional furniture that will be placed throughout the club! With each new detail, the vision for the Somers Point Paddle Club continues to come to life!

Meet our new club manager!
We’re excited to introduce Mary Ellen Spiers, our Club Manager at Somers Point Paddle Club! Having lived in Somers Point for nearly 35 years, where she and her husband Mark raised their two sons, Matt and Chris, Mary Ellen has built both her life and career around community and connection. During her 18 years as Director of Membership at Greate Bay Racquet & Fitness, she developed a true passion for hospitality and creating welcoming, memorable experiences. She’s excited to bring that passion to the Paddle Club and looks forward to helping create unforgettable moments for our members and their families. Hospitality has always been at the heart of everything she does. Mary Ellen believes it’s the little details and genuine connections that make all the difference, and she loves bringing people together in a fun, welcoming atmosphere. Being part of the Paddle Club already feels special to her. What she’s most looking forward to is that first visit when
everything comes together—the atmosphere, the service, and the energy—and members realize this is their place to unwind, connect, and enjoy something special all summer long. She wants every member to feel, “this is exactly where I want to spend my summer.”
From the tile selections to the perfect chaise lounge to relax in, every detail has been thoughtfully chosen, and she’s excited for members to truly feel and appreciate it. Mary Ellen is thrilled to be here and can’t wait to share an amazing summer with all of you—

Opening May 2026
We are excited to share that applications for our inaugural season are now open. The season will run from May through September, with the club open daily from 11 AM to 9 PM. To ensure an exclusive, resort style experience, memberships are limited.
